The TEK Factor

The name of Divers' Lodge is – and has always been – associated with Technical Diving. Back in the early 1990s the Divers' Lodge team were responsible for pioneering TEK and establishing a base for the discipline outside of the USA here in the Red Sea.

Over the years Divers' Lodge have remained at the forefront of Technical Diving. Our diving centre in Hurghada is the longest established TDI facility in the region and closely linked to the area HQ for TDI Russia and Middle East. Most of the original TEK team are still based at Divers' Lodge Hurghada and instruct TDI courses on a daily basis.

Recently Divers' lodge Hurghada has also become one of the first BSAC Technical Centres in the Red Sea. In the three years since it has been established in Sharm, Divers' Lodge is rapidly gaining a name for the quality and standards of its TDI training and TEK facilities. Divers' Lodge Sharm El Sheikh is now one of the leading names for Technical Diving in the Sinai.

Where records are broken…

Divers' Lodge has hosted many world record beating events and has played a pivotal role in pushing the boundaries of TEK diving beyond the conventional. Divers' Lodge were responsible for arranging Jens Hilbert’s record breaking dive to 240m in 2002 and since then we have hosted and assisted in most of the major Technical and Free Diving events in the Red Sea.

All the leading names in TEK have passed through our doors – Bret Gilliam, Mitch Skaggs, Joe Odom, Hal Watts, Chris Parret, Rob Palmer, Mark Andrews, Martin Farr, Bob Hollis, Dmitri Orlov and Michail Safonov – and we are proud to welcome them as our friends.


   

Excellence in training

Divers' Lodge have four fulltime TDI Instructor Trainers, one fulltime BSAC Technical Instructor and a team that includes many of the most famous names in the international TEK field.

We hosted the regional TDI Technical Instructor Trainer Workshop in 2003, 2004 and 2005 and host daily TEK training courses for Divers and Instructors of all levels. Here you can truly learn from the experts. Divers' Lodge offer personalised and tailor-made courses to give you the best possible training in whatever area you choose.

From Nitrox to Trimix to Rebreathers

Divers' Lodge were the first dive team to bring Nitrox and Rebreather technology to the Red Sea in 1993 and were also responsible for introducing Trimix here in 1994. In 1995 we pioneered Technical Safaris in the region. Now we cater for all levels of Technical diver – both in daily diving, diver training and safaris.
